Rules, Regulations & other Legal Stuff.

We don't like rules either but we have to be fair. So here they are.

1. Everyone who "adopts" a duck or several, must have fun and NO WHINING is allowed.

2. The Rotary Club of Shorewood will be known as "the organizer", "the club" or "RCoS" from now on the list of rules.

3. A minimum of 5000 "ducks" will be put into the Des Plains River at the Seil road bridge on Sunday, August 8th, 2010 at approx. 4:14 p.m.

4. The race course will be established by the members of the "RCoS".

5. Once the ducks are "swimming" no one is allowed to interfere with any of the ducks.

6. Only the member of the "RCoS" will have the right to move the ducks up or down the race course.

7. All of the ducks will be provided by and remain the property of the "RCoS".

8. All ducks will have a number that corresponds to a control number on the order form. The persons name on that order form will be awarded the appropriate prize.

9. Positive identification will be required to claim a prize.

10. A list of winners will be posted on this website as soon a possible after the race.

11. The order form must be completely filled out and be in the possession of the "RCoS" before the race starts.

12. The "RCoS" will have the right to substitute any of the prizes if needed.

13. This rule is unlucky so we won't use it.

14. All winners will be notified be phone, mail, carrier pigeon, yelled out loud at some location, or posted to this website. In other words we will find YOU!!!

15. The winner will have 30 days to claim their prize or the "RCoS" will select another winner thru a random drawing of the remaining order forms.

16. No cash equivalent prizes will be given in lieu of the designated prize.

17. All taxes fees and registration of the prizes are the responsibility of the winner.

18. The "RCoS"  is not responsible for any actions, disputes or any personal issues of any winner.

19. All entrants  release Rotary International, District 6450, the Rotary Club of Shorewood, the officers, board member and all members of any part of the the Rotary organization including any family or friends of any Rotarian who may have helped in any way with this event.

20. All entrants consent to the promotional use of their names, likenesses and also the use of picture for promotional purposes without any additional compensation.

21. The use of these funds are at the sole discretion of the "RCoS" but will not be used for any non reimbursable expense to any member of the "RCoS"

22. Chances of winning will be determined by the total number of entrants.

23. This event is subject to all local state and federal law and any regulations and is void when prohibited by law.

24. All decisions and interpretations of rules regulations or action will be made by the "RCoS" and it's judgment will be final.

25. All logos and names are registered trademarks of the "RCoS" or its sponsors and cannot be used copied or borrowed.

The Lucky Duck Rule

You know we would have to put this on the bottom so everyone would read the all the rules.

Here is how this works. Before the race starts 1lucky duck number will be preselected by Odds On Promotions.  If the1 lucky duck number comes in anywhere from 1st place thru 10th place the winner will receive $100,000 from Odds On PromotionsNOT the Rotary Club of Shorewood its members, officers friends , family or any person who is part of Rotary International, looks funny or is someone other than a person from Odds OnPromotions.  If the winner does receive the $100,000Mega Prize they WILL NOT receive the $2500 1st prize,or the 2nd prize, or the 3rd prize and so on. "RCoS" thinks the $100,000 prize should be enough of a prize for the winner.  The "RCoS" does not have any input on the 1 lucky duck number or how the prize is awarded. Odds On Promotions will be contacted after the race to  see if we have a winner.  Thank You & Good Luck.
